This recipe of Sesame Rice or Ellu Sadam is adapted from Tamil cuisine which is quick and easy recipe to make. Ellu Sadam Recipe is the traditional recipe involves roasting sesame seeds along with scrapped coconut, dry chilly, urad or chana dal and then grinding into a powder.
This aromatic powder is then added to the cooked rice along with salt and that is how Ellu Sadam is made. It is spicy and robust with flavors. However in this particular recipe of ‘Ghee Sesame Rice’ (Inspired by Tamil Cuisine) we haven’t made any sesame powder. We have just added lightly toasted sesame seeds with rice along with other condiments and it really tastes superb. But of course it is more quick than the traditional recipe and makes for an extremely easy and instant one pot meal that can be cooked in no time.
So as we see that Sesame Ghee Rice is a simple Stir Fry that can be quickly tossed, get more such easy Stir Fry Rice Dishes in this website like -
