‘Arvi Masala Curry’ is one of the easiest & delicious recipe of cooking arbi with an array of herbs and spices. The unique tempering with carom seeds give it a very distinct flavor, aroma and make it truly palatable.
Arvi or arbi stir fry without gravy is very common and is made in most of the households. Here we give you this classic recipe to make a thick gravy based arvi curry in pressure cooker. Hence, it is hassle free and takes considerably less time to cook. Goes great with all types of Indian breads and cumin rice.
But before trying out this recipe, do not miss to refer the ‘Tips’ given at the bottom!
Did you know, arvi or arbi is also known as colocasia, taro, eddo is basically a root vegetable and is full of starch. Hence boiled arbi is often used as a binding agent for cutlets, kebabs and patties. The broad leaves of arbi are also edible and make delicious ‘Patra’ or ‘Patrode’.
This arvi curry is spicy and pairs very well with rotis, spring onion parantha and moong dal cheela. Team up with Konkani ambe upkari, kadala curry or palak patra and enjoy !
In lunch box, pair Arbi curry with Missi Rotis or Ajwain Puris. You are going to love your meal.
