To begin with making these tantalizing buns, we need to make the spicy masala.
Chop cabbage and onion roughly. We need about 2 cups tightly packed cabbage for 2 servings.
In a pan heat oil and add turmeric powder, ginger, green chilly. Sauté on low flame for half a minute.
Next add in the onion and sauté till pink.
Now add in the remaining powdered spices and chopped cabbage.
Give a toss and cook on medium flame for 1 minute or more till everything comes together and the cabbage turns slight soft but retains the crunch.
Add salt, copped coriander and remove from heat.
Spicy cabbage masala stuffing is ready.
Now take a pao and slit in between horizontally (like you do for burger).
Heat a pan, add butter and roast the pao till golden brown and crisp. Remove from heat.
