Corn Chaat Recipe - an easy snack recipe and toungue tickling snack which is high in protein, fiber. To make corn chaat mix sweet corn kernels with crunchy bits of cucumber, tomatoes, onion and chopped green chillies are added for the right amount of heat. Serve corn chaat in small paper cups as a fancy party appetizer or simply enjoy with cardamom tea for a laid back evening.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Sweet corn kernels (Boiled) – 2 cups
  • Onion (Finely chopped) – 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato (Finely chopped) – 2 tablespoon
  • Cucumber (Finely chopped) – 2 tablespoon
  • Green chilly (Finely chopped) –  ½ teaspoon (Optional)
  • Fresh coriander - (Finely chopped) – 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander mint chutney – 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • Sweet tamarind chutney - 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • Chaat masala – ½ teaspoon
  • Black salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • White salt – To taste

For garnish –

  • Freshly chopped mint/coriander
  • Sev/farsaan
  • Pomegranate seeds

How to make Corn Chaat

  • Combine all the given ingredients in a bowl and toss. Keep tasting while mixing, so that you can adjust the amount of chutneys and spices to your taste buds. Serve in paper cups or cones and garnish as suggested.

Tip –

  • Be creative and play with ingredients. Add grated carrot, raw mango, sliced mushrooms, paneer and whatever you like to make a healthy and colorful palate.
