Ram Ladoo is a popular street food from Delhi and is lip smacking to the core. Do not get confused by the term ‘Ladoo’ and start thinking about sweets or mithai. Lets read the delicious Ram Ladoo Recipe.
NO…..it is not a ‘Sweet’ but a savory, spicy and ‘Chatpata’ snack made with Moong dal or yellow lentil that is deep fried and tastes amazing.
These delicious Moong Dal Pakode are never served any ordinary way, but are always plated with a generous topping of freshly grated Radish or Mooli and sweet n spicy chutneys. This peculiar style of 'Serving' distinguishes these Ram Ladoos from other fritters and makes them look drooling and very presentable. The unique combination of deep fried fritters along with the crunchiness of radish and peppy flavors of chutneys is simply mind blowing and unbeatable. Savour it on a monsoon day or chilly winter evening, you will be spellbound with the flavors.
You must try this recipe to know what I mean!
Now, when it comes to ‘Dilli Ka Khana’ , how can we miss on trying our hands on Punjabi Chole Bhature, Dahi Wada and Papdi Chaat ?
I just love my plate of Ram Ladoos with grated radish and Dhaniye Pudine Ki Chutney, that is the reason why in above pics you don’t see any topping of sweet or meethi chutney. Though you can also top it with Sonth chutney and a sprinkle of Chaat Masala.
If you have a palate for ‘Spicy’ flavors, then mix some chopped ginger and green chilli with grated radish. You can also add little bit of red chilli powder and pepper powder for that extra punch.
