Here we are giving you a pure Vegetarian Recipe to make this Indo Chinese dish that has strong flavors and aroma of green chilli, garlic cooked with some hot sauces, noodles and assorted veggies. It hardly takes 20 minutes or something in the whole recipe - While your noodles are boiling in pan, simultaneously you can prepare for the veggies and arrange other items to make things quick.

Well, I never liked my noodles without veggies, though some people make it using all ingredients minus the vegetables. So, if someday you missed on grocery shopping or just want to keep things more simple, then you can make these Chilli Garlic Noodles without vegetables too.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Noodles - 500 gms.
  • Onion (Finely sliced) - 1 large
  • Capsicum (Finely sliced) - 1 medium
  • Green chilli (Slit) - 6-7 or to taste
  • Garlic (Chopped) - 10-12 cloves
  • Salt - To taste
  • White vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Chilli sauce - 1/2 tablespoon or to taste

How to make Chilli Garlic Noodles

To begin with making Chilli Garlic Noodles first we need to boil noodles and then cook with sauces and veggies. Let’s see the steps - 

Cooking Noodles - 

  1. To cook noodles follow the instructions given on the pack. Alternatively, you can take 3-4 cups of water in a saucepan along with some salt and little amount of cooking oil. Boil noodles in it till soft and cooked to your perfection.
  2. Drain the excess water and put these cooked noodles in a bowl of cold water for about 2-3 minutes. This would stop the cooking process and prevent noodles from turning soggy.
  3. Now again transfer noodles to drain away the excess water. Drizzle some oil, toss and keep aside. This way noodles won’t stick to each other. 

Cooking Chilli Garlic Noodles - 

  1. Now heat oil in a pan that is wide enough to accommodate noodles and veggies and still you have space to toss things properly.
  2. Add garlic, onion and cook on high flame for a minute or till the raw smell goes.
  3. Add in the sliced capsicum, green chilli and cook for about a minute.
  4. To this add cooked noodles, sauces, vinegar, salt, black pepper powder and toss to combine everthing together.
  5. Cook for a minute or two and remove from heat.

Note -

While seasoning the Chilli Garlic Noodles with salt, take care as the sauces we have used contain a good amount of salt. So add salt accordingly, otherwise you are going to ruin the dish.
