‘Punjabi Masala Parantha’ is a variation to the regular plain paranthas. These paranthas are slight crisp, mildly spiced because a rich combination of spices are added to the flour while kneading the dough and this is what makes them taste so delectable. Roast these classic Punjabi style paranthas on tawa/pan with desi ghee or oil as per choice and serve with yogurt and pickle in breakfast. You can also serve these paranthas with any dal or curry of choice for a change in your regular lunch or dinner.
So, whenever you feel the need to make slight change in your staple diet on account of flavors, try substituting these masala paranthas to the same phulka or plain paranthas being served daily and see the difference. The best part, you don’t need to make any preparations in advance, just change the way you knead the dough….and that’s it!
For a nourishing breakfast, relish Punjabi masala paranthas with garlic pickle, a bowl of fresh curd and some seasonal fruits.
To enjoy a scrumptious meal serve Punjabi masala parantha with dal makhni, achaari dum aloo or jackfruit masala with traditional mango pickle or ginger n black pepper pickle during winters. Â To enjoy an authentic Punjabi meal, do not miss to serve chaas.
